Tatami outer covers(Tatami Omote in Japanese) are made of the highest quality woven materials such as
natural rush, resin plastic and Japanese paper of which use is depend on customer choice & place and those
are very important in our Living style like your carpet.
Tatami Pads(Tatami Toko in Japanese) are made of Four typed layers with some kinds of the materials.
All materials including Shoji Screen and Fusuma Door Screen are Japanese Origin in view points of human
health and comfortable living. Tatami Construction:
TATAMI PADS TYPE
a)Thermal insulation fiber board & Poly-Styrene Foam.We call NIGATA
This tatami pads is most popular in Japan due to the easy handling & transportation.
b) Thermal insulation board. We call ICHIGATA
c)Palm coconut coir and thermal insulation fiber board. We call SUKIYA(YASHIDOKO).
d) Cha-coal coating into the above a), b) & c) Tatami We call SUMIDOKO .
e) Thinner Tatami in many color variation without TATAMI edge cover. We call USU-TATAMI
f) Straw fiber core. We call WARA-DOKO.
ATSU-TATAMI thick 60mm to 40mm
USU-TATAMI thick 35mm to 15mm ＴＡＴＡＭＩ　ＯＵＴＥＲ　ＣＯＶＥＲ( TATAMI OMOTE) is
made by Paper, resin plastic & natural rush.
Our representative brands are Saien/Ginpaku(both by Japanese Paper),
Migusa(resin/plastic) and Many grade of natural rush.
TATAMI EDGE PROTECTION COVER - books, having many kinds of
color & design & materials (silk, cotton,synthetic fiber) we call HERI.
We wish to advise you that Tatami itself as well as Paper products are quite healthy materials
because of very nice effects in our living.

Straw fiber core(WARA-DOKO), we unlikely recommend because easy affects by house dust mite,
tick etc in bad aeration and high temperature and high moisture weather conditions.
Please be noted that the natural rush grass mates will gradually turn from nature green to
golden color due to it ages and continuous flash of sun light.
Our traditional interior decorative produce by the skillfull tive produce is made by
our skillfull women/men. Byobu (Fold Screen), Tuitate(Screen Curtain),Hengaku(Framed Picture),
Kakejiku(Hanging Scroll), Shoji (Sliding Paper Screen), Fusuma(Framed & Paper Sliding
Door), Fusuma Yuuzen, Japanese traditional paper made, Yukata & etc.,
